The key to a happy life lies in the knowledge of how important it is, to do what is good for you. To know when to take a break from everything that we are responsible for and just lean back.
For every person the source of relax lies somewhere else. If it is climbing a mountain, bubbling in a hot spa, reading a book or watching a movie. Some need a party out to set their mind free, others cuddle in at home and just enjoy the silent.
The capybaras are the most relaxed rodents on this planet, seemingly nothing can make them nervous. They love hot springs even more than we do and they will always find a lot of time to take a steaming break in an orange scented pond.
So for me they are the perfect friendly face to tell you every day: Don´t forget about yourself and do something you love today!

Two hearts meet where the source of Light explodes…
How long did it take for you to spot the Swan? It can stand for so much here and however you interpret it will be right. For me it means love, a hug that cannot be forced. Something fragile, just like love itself. Intimate on so many levels, familiar, home
In the other light I kept it focused – with room for interpretation. The wings can be hers to make her the guardian angel. For me the wings belong to the Swan, being in the safety of love but still free to be itself. The source of the glow is the spot where two hearts meet 
where love and the power of it are sown.

The flowers in her hand are Forget-me-not that stand for togetherness – surrounded by bees to symbolize the source of life. The dragonflies stand for self-realization and the deeper meaning of life

The eagle flies higher than most of the other birds, even if it gets into a storm it will make it out stronger and soar even higher. If you spot an eagle it means all your dreams and the effort that you have put into them, become reality soon. It says that god speaks through eagles, that they are his direct bearers. So if you see one or an eagle shows up in your dreams you should keep your eyes, heart and soul open and listen real carefully to the sound of the universe. It will light your way.

And all of it is good, we are here to give and love… but we also have to find that safe space, that spot that is only ours. It’s not about who wins, but about the time spend right. Quality time means doing what you love! For the rabbit and the cat it means spending time together over a friendly chess game at the Summer Night Café.
We see the same game of chess from both sides – black vs white – cat vs rabbit – who will win this impossible expressionistic match?!
The price for each one is 300,-/Set price 400,- because they love to stay together.
This is a nice connection for two people as well, that do not live together and miss the other ones company. A friendly game with someone loved as a reminder to think more of the things in life, that make us happy.
The frames are very old twins and show signs of age.

A minimum in color can be a max in hypnotizing! Especially in another light – all those glowing dots make you fall into another part of your brain, where there is a little space left just for silence and staring…
What makes this piece interesting is the fact, that from further away you only see the bigger, closest rays. So the painting is very calm and minimalistic. But when you step closer you start to see those blue dots in the background – the rays that are down deeper. The piece becomes more alive, you start to look even closer. And then, in blacklight, all those dots glow up and it almost gets chaoticly alive.

Greek Mythology with all its beauty and all its darkness! What an absolute different side of my work with so many layers, mediums, techniques and ideas.
In the front you see the titan Atlas carrying a clay statue from Greece showing Akropolis. To the left we see nymphs creating the golden power of the sun, attracting centaurs. The sun shows the sign of the sun god Helios. Pegasus is in another light already way too close to the sun… Dädalus told his son to be careful when flying… there is more to experience in the dark. Can you find it?

The making of a fairytale Part 1
There we have it again, my little obsession with Alice in Wonderland… When I was a kid, I actually did not like this fairytale too much, it gave me the creeps, though I did not know why. Now as an (kind of) adult I know why and that is exactly how I learned to love it that much.
Have you ever read the original by Lewis Carol? Have you ever looked behind the story to find out where the idea rooted? It is dark, it is scary and yet still, it is just wonderful and beautiful what he made of it. He is my hero in parenting and I actually love that even more than the fairytale itself. Behind the scenes…
The frame is a unique piece, restored and gilded by myself with parts of decorative moss to give it that extra juicy forest look. It already had the perfect shape of a door, the rest of the idea just flew in naturally. The original color of the frame was a dark brown and I absolutely love the strong blue in combination with gold leaf and luminescent green. It gives a strong 3D-effect and I love to watch how the keyhole magnetizes viewers. They really look through it and this makes me absolutely happy – illusion created

The making of a fairytale Part 2
It was a big pleasure painting this one, the details really make the picture here. I love the mushroom lamps and the fact that the clock has the moon instead of the time. That leaves a lot of room in the time schedule 🙂 if you look closely you can spot the pocket watch of the rabbit… it will no longer make him a slave, he took care of that.

How much this movie did to me, how bad it got me with all its’ plots and twists is barely to say in words. That is why I went so much in detail for this painting. It is supposed to give a lot to find, a lot to think and a lot to feel to its viewer. The lines are written in german, because this is the language I experienced the movie at first and the original version in english never came close to that. Only the words ‘fette Beute’ are so genius and a great example for how the movie always had a humorous side next to all its seriousness. Just amazing!

If you feel like falling your whole life. Again and again falling into even darker places, you need something totally out of the ordinary to focus on. To grow on. Something that keeps your mind busy and out of the dark.
This is the beauty about the ‘Queens Gambit’.
Little Beth’s life already starts miserable. She learns about loss and loneliness very early and is in survive mode since she can remember. The orphanage is just another level of misery… but she finds something there, in the dusty basement – a friend and a passion. A passion so pure, that it consumes her mind.
During the story she becomes addicted to drugs and alcohol – alongside chess. She thinks she needs to be high to play the perfect game. Throughout the series we watch her falling again and again. We watch her using, watch her losing loved people. Again and again. But there is one savior in her life. The one thing that pulls her out of the dark – Chess.
In my painting I wanted to highlight exactly this. How chess becomes the light in her life. After loosing so much. After going through addictions and being in so many dark places, it is she herself who is her savior.
Beth became something like an Idol to me. All the darkness in her young life made her bulletproof. Her strength only made her stronger. I think there is barely anything that could break her anymore. I am thankful for this movie piece of art with its strong visuals – just like paintings – and perfectly chosen music.

The spirits are high for those who believe…
I found this absolutely unique wooden frame and was in love immediately! I bought it from an artist who – I believe – made it himself. I have never seen anything like this before and knew right away, this is going to be the Aztec jungle I have in mind for so long already. The colors are given and it comes together so perfectly.
I wanted to create a daylight jungle full of light, sun, good vibes and the positive energy of green. But, you guessed it already, in the dark the jungle hides more to it. The darkness, the things you see and those you don’t, the sounds and all those eyes watching you in a jungle night can send chills down your spine. This is exactly what I wanted to bring onto one canvas, into one painting.

We see an astronaut versus an alien of course, in an epic chess game – about what? The world? Another world, like Plan(et) B? And how do we know if the astronaut is even human? Who is the good and who is the bad in this battle? If you look closer, what do they see in the reflection of the other one? – They see themselves. Aren’t the biggest battles that we experience the ones with ourselves? At first glance you would identify the alien as the enemy, look closer. Aren’t you the alien yourself?

Every Bee counts, every Bee is a saver of our planet!
